  • Two FIRs were registered, including one at Basaveshwaranagar under BNS Sections 74, 75, 78, 79, 352, and 351(2), and another related to a disturbance reported after the initial complaint.
  • The complaint alleges months of harassment, a ₹1.5 crore demand, coercion to sign documents blaming her advocate, verbal and physical abuse, phone seizure, and prolonged doorbell ringing at her home.
  • A woman identified as Jayamma (also named as Jaya S) was booked over alleged threatening calls and messages and received bail alongside Mylarappa, with police scrutiny of her role continuing.
  • The complainant earlier worked at an organisation run by Mylarappa between 2022 and 2024, and reports note his past removals from senior university posts following court and government actions.
