Bengaluru Construction Mudslide at Koramangala Site Kills Two Workers

Police have registered a case to investigate possible safety lapses.

  • Eight labourers were at work when soil supporting a pillar gave way; five escaped, one was injured, and two died at the scene.
  • The deceased were identified as Lal Muddin, 32, and Razauddin Ansari, 33, both from Jharkhand; the injured worker, Saifulla, 28, is stable.
  • Deputy Commissioner of Police Sarah Fathima led the response after alerts around 7.15 pm, and a complaint was filed at Madiwala police station.
  • The incident is Bengaluru’s second fatal construction-site collapse in a month, following a Yelahanka cave-in that led to FIRs against 14 people including the head of Embassy Group.
