Bengaluru CCB Seizes Rs 9.93 Crore in Drugs After Citywide Raids, Seven Held

Police are probing parcel origins, foreign links, supplier networks.

  • CCB’s Anti-Narcotics Wing detected five cases across Mahadevapura, Adugodi, Siddapura, K.G. Nagar and Hebbagodi between September 18 and 25.
  • Seizures included 3.858 kg of MDMA crystals and 41 g of ecstasy pills, with the synthetic drugs valued at Rs 7.80 crore.
  • Officers also recovered 1.82 kg of hydroganja and 6 kg of ganja, along with a car and a two-wheeler allegedly used in peddling.
  • Investigators intercepted a parcel at the K.G. Nagar foreign post office containing 1.22 kg of hydroganja and registered a case against the person who booked it.
  • Those arrested include a software engineer and a dental college student who, police say, resold hydroganja for profit, and two foreign nationals, one previously booked by the NCB in 2022 and out on bail.
