Overview

• The 31-year-old, identified as Megharaj (also known as Meghanand), was discovered in the 1522 Pub at Rajarajeshwarinagar, West Bengaluru, early Friday.
• He had visited the venue with three friends, felt nauseous around 12:45 a.m., and entered the ladies’ washroom after the group settled their bill.
• CCTV footage showed him going into the women’s restroom, where staff later broke open the door and found him unconscious before he was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
• Scene of Crime Officers examined the site, a post-mortem was conducted, and viscera samples were collected, with the FSL report pending.
• An unnatural-death case was registered based on a complaint from his brother, and police say the investigation remains active; he is survived by his wife and a six-month-old child.
