Overview

  • The minimum fare increases from Rs 30 to Rs 36 for the first 2 km, with each additional kilometre set at Rs 18.
  • Rides between 10 pm and 5 am will incur a 50% night surcharge on normal rates.
  • This marks the first auto fare revision since November 2021 after driver unions pressed for relief amid rising fuel prices and inflation.
  • Commuters benefit from a five-minute free waiting period with Rs 10 charged per 15 minutes thereafter, and can carry up to 20 kg of baggage free with Rs 10 per additional 20 kg up to 50 kg.
  • All autorickshaw meters must be recalibrated, stamped and fitted with updated fare charts by October 31, 2025 to ensure compliance and curb overcharging.
