Ben White Names Marcus Rashford His Toughest Opponent
White’s comment underscores that Rashford’s pace and movement still pose a clear tactical threat as United manage a recent minor fitness concern.
Overview
- White made the remark on Men in Blazers on Wednesday, Sept 9, 2026, when asked which Premier League attacker has been hardest to defend.
- Rashford returned to Manchester United this summer after a loan at Barcelona and has been worked back into Michael Carrick’s first‑team plans.
- United substituted Rashford in their 2-2 draw with Everton after he felt a discomfort and the club’s medical staff are reported to be monitoring the issue ahead of upcoming fixtures.
- White singled out Rashford over other top forwards because of his explosive acceleration, direct running and ability to attack space behind defenders.
- The exchange matters for tactics and match planning because White has recovered from recent injuries to reach strong form and Arsenal could face a refreshed but fitness‑watched Rashford later this season.
