England Test captain Ben Stokes has undergone successful surgery on his long-standing left-knee injury.
Stokes is now starting his rehabilitation with the aim to be fit for England's five-match tour of India starting on January 25.
Despite his knee issues, Stokes was only able to play as a batter in the recent World Cup.
Stokes has made himself unavailable for the 2024 Indian Premier League to manage his workload and fitness.
He hopes to return as a fully functioning all-rounder by the summer of 2024.
