Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson compared Donald Trump to the biblical King David during a Fox News interview.
Carson's comparison was in response to questions about how Trump can overcome voters who won't support him due to his personal behavior.
Carson suggested that just as King David was seen as flawed in his time, so too is Trump, but that 'God uses different people for different times.'
Carson's comments come as Trump's campaign team is hosting several events throughout Iowa, with surrogates speaking in his place as the former President attends the closing arguments in the Trump Organization civil fraud trial in New York.
Carson endorsed Trump for the 2024 presidential race in October.
