Beloved Theodore Too Tugboat Partially Sinks at Ontario Dock

The life-sized replica of the iconic children's TV character is undergoing efforts to be safely refloated after taking on water in St. Catharines.

Theodore Too, a 20-meter replica of the Theodore Tugboat character from a CBC children's TV show, partially sank at the Port Weller Dry Docks in St. Catharines, Ontario.
The vessel began taking on water late Tuesday night and is now partially submerged in shallow water, resting in the mud beside a dock.
The cause of the incident remains unclear, but owner Blair McKeil, CEO of Breakwater Financial, has assured that plans are underway to safely refloat the tugboat.
Built in Nova Scotia in 2000, Theodore Too has served as a traveling ambassador for marine conservation and career awareness, visiting over 20 ports since relocating to Ontario in 2021.
Efforts have been made to mitigate any potential environmental impact, and the public will be kept informed about the tugboat's recovery progress.
