Beloved Children's Show 'Balamory' Set for 2026 Reboot

The BBC announces the return of the iconic pre-school series with new episodes featuring both original and new characters.

‘Balamory,’ the popular children's show originally aired from 2002 to 2005, will return to CBeebies in 2026.
The reboot will feature two new series, each consisting of ten 14-minute episodes.
Filming is expected to take place in Scotland, either in the original location of Tobermory or possibly Rothesay on the Isle of Bute.
The new series will include some of the original characters, such as Miss Hoolie and PC Plum, alongside new faces.
Kate Morton, head of commissioning for BBC Children’s and Education, emphasizes that the reboot aims to bring families together and introduce a new generation to the show.
