Belmont Stakes to Move to Saratoga in 2024 Due to Renovations

- The renovations at Belmont Park include replacing the grandstand and all three racecourses, and are expected to continue beyond 2024.
- The rest of the racing at Belmont, normally held in the spring and fall, will be moved to the Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens in 2024.
- Due to the track configuration at Saratoga, the 2024 Belmont will be 1¼ miles, shorter than the traditional 1½ miles.
- The prize money for the 2024 Belmont will also be increased to $2 million from $1.5 million.
