• Bella Ramsey has been cast as Maya, the teenage daughter at the heart of the series created by Daisy Haggard.
• Daisy Haggard will co-star as Maya’s mother Anna and make her directorial debut alongside co-director Jamie Donoughue.
• The series was commissioned by Channel 4 commissioners Ollie Madden and Gemma Boswell and is produced by Two Brothers Pictures under the All3Media umbrella.
• Maya’s storyline sees a mother and daughter adopt new identities in a rural Scottish witness protection programme while pursued by two hitmen.
• Principal photography is slated to start on location in Scotland later in the year, with further casting announcements expected soon.
