- Belgian defence and foreign ministries announced on July 30 that a plane carrying €600,000 in food and medical supplies will fly to Jordan and stand by for airdrops into Gaza under Amman’s coordination.
- Belgium joins France, Spain and Britain in the multinational airlift effort designed to reach civilians cut off by Israel’s total blockade since March.
- On July 29 the World Food Programme, UNICEF and the Food and Agriculture Organization warned that Gaza is on the brink of a full-scale famine.
