The Merchant Hotel in Belfast has launched a £1,000 cocktail, described as a 'masterpiece of Irish whiskey.'
The cocktail, Midleton Forêt de Tronçais, features rare whiskey aged in French Tronçais oak casks, complemented by Antica Formula and Dubonnet.
The whiskey used in the drink costs £4,000 per bottle, with only 1,000 bottles produced globally.
The hotel previously held a Guinness World Record for the most expensive cocktail in 2007, but was later surpassed by a drink sold in Melbourne.
The Merchant's new menu includes 21 drinks starting at £14.99, with options designed to suit a range of flavor preferences.
