Behaviour Interactive Acquires Darkest Dungeon Developer Red Hook Studios

Behaviour Interactive, known for Dead by Daylight, has acquired Red Hook Studios, creators of Darkest Dungeon, for an undisclosed amount.
Red Hook Studios will continue to operate independently within Behaviour Interactive, retaining all 29 team members.
Behaviour's CEO Rémi Racine stated the goal of making Behaviour synonymous with horror games, enhancing their portfolio with Red Hook's expertise.
The acquisition comes shortly after Behaviour shut down Midwinter Entertainment and canceled Project T, citing market viability concerns.
Red Hook co-founders Chris Bourassa and Tyler Sigman expressed optimism, noting the acquisition provides stability and the potential to expand the Darkest Dungeon franchise.
