Beelitz Asparagus Season Begins with High Prices and Limited Supply

The asparagus season in Beelitz officially starts this weekend with only a few hundred kilograms available for sale.
Early asparagus is priced between 15 and 18 euros per kilogram, reflecting its limited supply and high quality.
Large-scale sales, including roadside stands, are set to begin in early April as the harvest progresses.
Prices are expected to drop to 10-12 euros per kilogram during the peak harvest season in April.
The ceremonial harvest event, known as 'Spargelanstich,' is scheduled for April 10, marking the formal start of the season.
