Bee Network Upgrades Go Live With Cheaper Youth Fares as New Night Buses Start This Week

  • TfGM’s half‑price 18–21 ticket is now available at £40 for 28 days, and the Our Pass for 16–18s has gone digital in the Bee Network app.
  • New night routes 135 (to Bury) and 17/17a (to Rochdale via Middleton) are scheduled to begin on September 4, with hourly departures from Shudehill.
  • The V1 and 36 night services will operate seven days a week until March 2026, extending late‑night links to Leigh and Bolton.
  • A 24‑hour pilot on the 17 will run through Thursday to Saturday nights between Manchester and Rochdale, providing all‑night, hourly service.
  • Daytime improvements include the 582 increasing to every 10 minutes and extra V1 peak buses, while a November trial will again allow pre‑9:30am concessionary travel to inform a year‑end decision.
