'Beacon 23' Renewed for Second Season by MGM+

The sci-fi mystery thriller series, based on Hugh Howey's book, will return with more action, mysteries, and twists, premiering in April.

MGM+ has officially renewed the sci-fi mystery thriller series 'Beacon 23' for a second season.
The series is based on the Hugh Howey book and follows the entangled fates of government agent Aster and stoic ex-military man Halan, who find themselves trapped inside one of many Beacons serving as a lighthouse for intergalactic travelers.
In Season 2, 'Beacon 23' is described as 'now little more than a prison with Aleph onboard, and The Artifact provides more questions than answers.'
Stephan James and Natasha Mumba will return to star in Season 2, with Ellen Wong joining the cast.
Season 2 is set to premiere on MGM+ in April.
