Jeffrey Foskett, a key member of the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson's band, has died at the age of 67 after a long battle with anaplastic thyroid cancer.
Foskett first joined the Beach Boys in 1981, replacing co-founder Carl Wilson, and became known for his falsetto parts.
He later served as the musical director for Brian Wilson's solo act in the late 1990s and appeared on most of Wilson's solo material.
Foskett rejoined the Beach Boys for their 50th anniversary reunion tour in 2012, and was announced as a permanent member of the touring band in 2014.
He was forced to take a leave of absence from the band in 2019 after being diagnosed with cancer, but continued to share his journey publicly.
