The change takes effect in January 2026 following upgrades to the central bank’s data systems.

Overview

  • Companies with external assets and liabilities under US$10 million will shift to annual RAyPE submissions, while larger firms will continue to report quarterly under simplified requirements.
  • The Banco Central estimates that more than 24,000 companies will move to the annual schedule and roughly 1,500 larger firms will remain on quarterly filings.
  • Officials say the reform reduces administrative burden as part of a broader simplification agenda led by the Ministry of Desregulación y Transformación del Estado.
  • The central bank expects a more transparent database and indicates the change could contribute to a lower level of declared commercial debt.
  • RAyPE data feed the BCRA’s quarterly Private External Debt and Foreign Direct Investment reports and are shared with INDEC for Balance of Payments and International Investment Position estimates.
