Overview
- More than a month after winning the final, India has not received the Asia Cup 2025 trophy, which remains in ACC custody linked to chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
- The BCCI says it wrote to the ACC about 10 days ago and expects the trophy to arrive in Mumbai within a day or two, calling the delay unacceptable.
- Devajit Saikia states the board will table the dispute at the ICC’s quarterly meeting from Nov. 4–7 in Dubai if the handover does not occur before then.
- Naqvi has insisted on a personal presentation or an in‑person collection from the ACC office, with reports of a proposed ceremony and the trophy held in the UAE.
- The standoff began when India refused on Sept. 28 to accept the trophy from Naqvi, and he has now indicated Pakistan will fully participate in the ICC meeting as the issue is raised.
