BCCI Presidency Race to Be Discussed at Sept. 20 BJP Meeting Ahead of Sept. 28 AGM

Senior BCCI officials are set to confer with BJP leadership in Delhi on September 20, reportedly at Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence, before the formal vote at the AGM on September 28.
Nominations are being filed by state units with deadlines around September 20–21, a process that will determine the final slate presented at the AGM.
Former India players Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, Raghuram Bhatt and Kiran More are in contention according to reports, with administrator Rajeev Shukla also positioned as a prominent nominee from Uttar Pradesh.
Roger Binny vacated the presidency after hitting the BCCI’s age limit of 70, and vice-president Rajeev Shukla has been serving in an acting capacity since July.
The board has indicated continuity for secretary Devajit Saikia and treasurer Prabhtej Bhatia, while questions remain over joint secretary Rohan Dessai due to issues in Goa.
