- On August 7, the BCCI opened applications for Resident Faculty roles in batting and bowling along with a Head of Sports Science and Medicine at its Bengaluru Centre of Excellence.
- Candidates must submit their applications by 5:00 PM IST on August 20, 2025, and be under 60 years of age at the time of applying.
- Applicants for the batting and bowling coach positions are required to be former first-class or international cricketers holding BCCI Level-2 or Level-3 coaching certificates and to have at least five years of coaching experience at the state or elite youth level.
- The Head of Sports Science and Medicine post demands a master’s degree (with a doctorate preferred) in sports science or a related discipline, plus a minimum of five years leading multidisciplinary performance teams.
- Recent departures—including Troy Cooley, medical head Nitin Patel, spin coach Sairaj Bahutule and NCA coach Sitanshu Kotak—have triggered the recruitment drive, with VRV Singh among those being considered for the bowling coach role and VVS Laxman’s tenure as COE head under review.
