- Hunters will be allowed to take one additional deer from Jan. 5 to Jan. 31, raising the local limit to three.

- Separately, epizootic hemorrhagic disease was confirmed near Grand Forks after nearly 100 deer deaths, a wildlife illness distinct from CWD with no evidence of human transmission though meat from infected animals should not be eaten.
