BBMP Approves Prestige’s 1.5-Km Bellandur Flyover to ORR

The civic agency has approved the fully funded flyover on condition of public access, mandatory road widening before construction begins.

Overview

  • Prestige Group will fully fund the 1.5-km elevated link to the Outer Ring Road and a 40-foot connector road.
  • The connector is expected to cut travel distance to Sakra Hospital Road by about 2.5 km.
  • BBMP requires Kariyammana Agrahara Road be widened and the flyover remain open to all users.
  • Formal approval follows BBMP’s April decision after consultations with Deputy CM D K Shivakumar.
  • Ground preparatory work and detailed design are now under way to address traffic bottlenecks near the upcoming Beta Tech Park.
