BBC Unveils New 'Lynley' Series with Star-Studded Cast

The adaptation of Elizabeth George's novels will feature Leo Suter and Sofia Barclay as the unconventional detective duo.

The BBC has acquired the new adaptation of Elizabeth George's Inspector Lynley novels, titled 'Lynley', from BritBox International.
Leo Suter will portray the aristocratic detective Tommy Lynley, while Sofia Barclay will play his maverick partner, DS Barbara Havers.
The series will explore themes of gender, class, and ethics through the dynamic between Lynley and Havers.
The show is set to premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and on BritBox in the US and Canada, with a tentative air date in 2025.
The production is currently underway in Ireland, featuring a cast that includes Daniel Mays, Niamh Walsh, Michael Workeye, and Joshua Sher.
