Overview

• The drama’s first episode airs at 9 pm BST on July 15 with subsequent instalments on July 16, July 22 and July 23 and all episodes available on BBC iPlayer.
• The narrative follows teenagers Daniel and Alison as they bond over mixtapes in 1989 and reconnect two decades later across Sheffield and Sydney.
• Teresa Palmer stars as adult Alison and Jim Sturgess plays adult Daniel, with Florence Hunt and Rory Walton-Smith portraying their younger counterparts.
• Adapted by Jo Spain from Jane Sanderson’s novel, the series employs a curated ’80s soundtrack to explore nostalgia, romance and heartbreak.
