Overview
- BBC has unveiled its 13 contestants, whose backgrounds range from a 62-year-old crime writer to a 22-year-old content creator.
- Hosted by Rob Brydon, contestants will ride blindfolded buses with opaque windows across Europe to complete challenges and earn location clues.
- At the end of each episode, players meet in a ‘map room’ to place an X on their guessed location, eliminating whoever is furthest off.
- Destination X adapts a Belgian format that has also spawned a US version fronted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
- The show premieres July 30 on BBC One and iPlayer with two weekly episodes leading to a £100,000 prize for the sole winner.
