BBC Radio Unveils Star-Studded Christmas 2024 Lineup

Mariah Carey, Cher, and Annie Lennox headline festive programming as BBC Radio celebrates the holiday season with special shows and guest appearances.

• Mariah Carey will make her BBC Radio 2 presenting debut on Christmas Day at 7pm, marking the 30th anniversary of her hit song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' by playing festive classics and thanking fans.
• Cher will share her favorite tracks on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs on December 15, while Annie Lennox reflects on her career ahead of her 70th birthday with a Radio 2 appearance on December 22.
• Hairy Biker Si King will host his first BBC Radio 2 show on December 23, featuring rock anthems, as he honors his late friend and co-host Dave Myers, who passed away earlier this year.
• Zoe Ball, stepping back from her Radio 2 Breakfast Show role in December, will present a Band Aid documentary on December 23 and host Christmas Eve and Christmas Day specials featuring classic crooners.
• Other festive highlights include Absolutely Fabulous cast reunions, Gavin and Stacey specials, and appearances by Bill Nighy, Romesh Ranganathan, and guest editors on the Today programme.
