Overview

• Two new six-episode series have been commissioned to continue the Peaky Blinders saga after the feature film The Immortal Man, airing on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK and streaming globally on Netflix.
• Set in Britain in 1953, the sequels focus on a new generation of Shelbys as Birmingham’s postwar reconstruction becomes a fierce contest for control.
• Kudos and Garrison Drama will produce, with filming at Steven Knight’s Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham and support from the West Midlands Combined Authority under a new regional BBC partnership.
• Steven Knight and Cillian Murphy are executive producers; casting, filming start dates, and release windows for the series have not been announced, and Murphy’s on-screen return has not been confirmed.
• The Immortal Man is in post-production and is expected to debut in 2026, with the new series explicitly positioned to follow its events.
