BBC Acquires 'Suits' and Two Other Series for iPlayer and TV

The move follows 'Suits'' record-breaking run on Netflix last year.

BBC acquires all nine seasons of the hit legal drama 'Suits,' along with mockumentary 'St. Denis Medical' and series continuation 'The Best Man: The Final Chapters' for its TV channels and the BBC iPlayer streaming service.
'Suits' was the most-watched show on Netflix last year, achieving a record 57.7 billion minutes of viewing according to Nielsen's streaming U.S. ratings.
The acquisition includes a trio of titles from NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution, highlighting BBC's commitment to bringing diverse and star-studded series to its viewers.
Despite rumors of a 'Suits' reboot or spin-off, the show's creator Aaron Korsh has confirmed that there is currently no such project in the works, citing the need for the SAG-AFTRA strike to end and a network's interest.
The original 'Suits' series, known for its smart and stylish portrayal of a New York City law firm, ended in 2019 with a strong ensemble cast including Patrick J Adams, Gabriel Macht, and Meghan Markle.
