• The bronze figure, 2.7 meters high (4.2 meters with pedestal) and about 1.2 tons, is 1.5 times life-size on a Bayern-diamond base and was created by sculptor Matilde Romagnoli after a large clay model.
• The unveiling took place one day after what would have been Beckenbauer’s 80th birthday and roughly 20 months after his death in January 2024.
