Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich has been suspended for two games following his red card in the fourth minute of their 8-0 win over Darmstadt 98.
The incident occurred when Kimmich failed to control a pass from his own goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and then pulled down Darmstadt's Marwin Mehlem at the edge of the box.
As a result of the red card, Kimmich is set to miss crucial matches against Borussia Dortmund and Heidenheim.
Bayern Munich, the reigning Bundesliga champions, currently sit in second place on 23 points, two behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Darmstadt also had two players sent off in the same game, before conceding eight goals in the second half.
