  • The IMD says a well-marked low over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a depression and cross the south Odisha–north Andhra Pradesh coast on September 27 morning.

  • Kerala placed several districts under orange alert, shut educational institutions in Thiruvananthapuram, reported urban flooding, and warned fishers off rough seas with squally winds.
  • Maharashtra faces yellow to orange alerts for the Konkan and Mumbai from September 27–29 with heavy rain forecast, and officials say monsoon withdrawal from the state is not expected before October 5.
