Overview
- The Regional Meteorological Centre reported a well‑marked low over the southwest Bay moving west‑northwest, with very heavy rain forecast across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry through October 24 and advisories extending to Kerala and south Andhra Pradesh.
- Chennai saw extensive waterlogging with flooded airport runways and slow traffic, as neighborhoods such as Velachery, Medavakkam and Pallikaranai recorded heavy downpours.
