Overview

  • More than 35,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday’s Bay FCWashington Spirit match, putting the game in position to surpass the NWSL single-game record of 35,038 set at Wrigley Field last year.
  • Oracle Park’s soccer configuration is capped near 40,000 seats, and the club says remaining inventory could push attendance toward that mark.
  • The NWSL Players Association approved the ballpark venue after separate field consultants and player site visits verified the pitch dimensions, grass installation and facilities.
  • NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman called the event a landmark for the league’s growth as Bay FC leverages a larger stage beyond its usual PayPal Park crowds of about 13,400.
  • Event plans include pregame and halftime performances by Bay Area artists and coincide with Bay FC’s broader outreach, including a new all-girls youth league and expansion initiatives across the region.
