Bay Area Prepares for Over 50 Fourth of July Celebrations

Reservations have opened for boat-view fireworks, concerts, dance parties, parades, cultural showcases, free family gatherings

Overview

  • More than 50 events across the South Bay, East Bay, Peninsula and San Francisco will run from July 4 to 6 with fireworks and drone shows alongside traditional parades
  • South Bay highlights include San Jose’s Rose, White & Blue Parade with car cruises and Lucha Libre matches plus Mountain View’s Shoreline Lake boat-view fireworks packages with BBQ dinners
  • Peninsula communities will host Half Moon Bay’s 54th Ol’ Fashioned parade, Redwood City’s “Celebrate California” festival and Foster City’s Leo Ryan Park gathering without a fireworks display
  • East Bay cities such as Pleasant Hill, Danville, Concord and Martinez have lined up fun runs, downtown parades, waterfront fireworks parties and evening concerts
  • San Francisco offerings range from the Golden Gate Park Band’s patriotic concert and El Rio’s charity dance party to the SF Mime Troupe’s free musical farce and the admission-free Fillmore Jazz Festival
