  • He is being treated at Tanda Medical College for a fractured leg and broken arm sustained during his time alone in the forest.
  • He survived for nine days by consuming insects, grass and forest fruits and following a river toward civilization after losing his way near the snowline.
  • Vengrinovich left his tent, extra clothes and phone at the base camp before venturing toward the snowline on June 6 with only a backpack of food.
  • His family has raised over $64,000 on GoFundMe toward a $100,000 goal to cover search operations, medical care and repatriation expenses.
