Overview
- The A8 Albaufstieg toward Munich is closed from Friday, Oct. 31, 21:00 to Monday, Nov. 3, 05:00 between Mühlhausen im Täle and Merklingen, with long-haul detours via the A6 and A7 and a request from Autobahn GmbH to avoid local back roads and disable navigation rerouting.
- ADAC forecasts heavy congestion at the start of Bavaria’s school break, especially around Munich and Nuremberg and on southbound routes, with additional delays expected at the Brenner due to a one-lane Lueg Bridge and construction on both the Austrian and Italian sides.
- Munich Airport projects about 1.2 million passengers and roughly 8,300 flight movements through Nov. 9, with the peak day expected at around 128,000 travelers at the holiday kickoff.
