• A teenager recovered a fully functioning Yugoslavian M52 hand grenade from the Isar near Forstweg/An der Fähre on August 12
• On August 18 the Bayerisches Landeskriminalamt and local police scoured the riverbanks with tracking dogs in an expanded search
• Authorities found no additional grenades but cautioned that further unexploded ordnance cannot be ruled out
• The Munich I public prosecutor’s office and the BLKA have opened a joint investigation to identify who discarded the device
• The state criminal police warned the public not to touch suspicious objects and urged anyone with information to call 110 or the LKA tip line
