Bautista, Williams Clinch Relievers of the Year Honors
Despite season cut short, Bautista instrumental in Orioles' AL East title; Williams secures second career NL Reliever of the Year Award.
- Félix Bautista and Devin Williams have been named the American and National League's Relievers of the Year, respectively.
- Bautista, despite his season being cut short by Tommy John surgery, was instrumental in the Orioles winning their first AL East title since 2014, with a 1.48 ERA, 33 saves and 110 strikeouts over 61 innings.
- Williams, who also won the NL Reliever of the Year honor in 2020, continued to assert himself as a dominant closer with a 1.53 ERA and 36 saves while striking out 87 batters over 58 2/3 innings in 61 games.
- Bautista is expected to miss the entire 2024 season while rehabbing from surgery, but is expected to return to the mound in 2025.
- Williams joins former teammate Josh Hader, Edwin Díaz, Liam Hendriks, Kenley Jansen and Craig Kimbrel as the only multiple winners of the Reliever of the Year Award.
