Bautista, Williams Clinch Relievers of the Year Honors

Despite season cut short, Bautista instrumental in Orioles' AL East title; Williams secures second career NL Reliever of the Year Award.

Félix Bautista and Devin Williams have been named the American and National League's Relievers of the Year, respectively.
Bautista, despite his season being cut short by Tommy John surgery, was instrumental in the Orioles winning their first AL East title since 2014, with a 1.48 ERA, 33 saves and 110 strikeouts over 61 innings.
Williams, who also won the NL Reliever of the Year honor in 2020, continued to assert himself as a dominant closer with a 1.53 ERA and 36 saves while striking out 87 batters over 58 2/3 innings in 61 games.
Bautista is expected to miss the entire 2024 season while rehabbing from surgery, but is expected to return to the mound in 2025.
Williams joins former teammate Josh Hader, Edwin Díaz, Liam Hendriks, Kenley Jansen and Craig Kimbrel as the only multiple winners of the Reliever of the Year Award.
