Battlefield 6 Patch Ends Crashes That Hit Nvidia RTX 50 Cards

Battlefield Studios says update 1.4.1.5 fixes in‑game triggers that caused driver failures, restoring the recommendation to use current GeForce drivers.

Overview

  • The update, which rolled out Tuesday, August 4, 2026, is designed to stop NVIDIA driver crashes that many players saw when playing on maps with large bodies of water.
  • Developers identified three in‑game triggers for the failures: large water areas on maps, the custom server search feature, and a bug when changing attachments on the SOR‑300SC carbine.
  • Before the fix, Battlefield Studios advised affected players to roll back to NVIDIA driver 596.49 as a temporary workaround; the studio now says updating the game and using current drivers is the preferred path.
  • Players using RTX 50‑series cards who previously rolled back their drivers should update both the game and their GeForce drivers (610.74 or newer where applicable) and only revert drivers if crashes persist.
  • Patch 1.4.1.5 also bundles wider gameplay and stability changes across weapons, vehicles, maps, modes, audio, and battle royale sync, and the studio says it will continue monitoring reports if further issues appear.
