Overview

  • Movement will see reduced slide-to-jump momentum, penalties for consecutive jumps, and higher inaccuracy when firing while sliding or airborne, with principal designer Florian Le Bihan saying the changes are far from drastic.
  • Gunplay tuning includes a recoil and tap‑fire pass across the arsenal to emphasize range and controlled bursts, and the M87A1 shotgun will require more pellets to secure a kill, with time-to-kill still under review.
  • Larger battlefields, including Mirak Valley and an Operation Firestorm remake, are headed to upcoming Battlefield Labs sessions, and map exploits such as unintended rooftop access are being addressed.
  • Modes are being tuned with a lower default player count for Rush to restore a more tactical flow, variable counts by map for Breakthrough, and the continuation of Open and Closed Weapon playlists with plans to keep them easy to find.
  • EA reports the series’ biggest beta to date with over 420 million matches and about 92 million hours played, and the studio says these data-driven changes will be iterated in Labs before release.
