Overview

  • Movement tweaks target slide-to-jump abuse with reduced carried momentum, lower height on consecutive jumps, increased inaccuracy when firing while sliding or jumping, and reduced initial parachute acceleration.
  • Gunplay is getting a recoil and tap-fire pass to emphasize burst control and range differentiation, and the M87A1 shotgun will require more pellets to secure a kill as TTK/TTD discrepancies remain under review.
  • Developers will fix rooftop and out-of-bounds exploits on smaller beta maps and will validate larger launch maps, including Mirak Valley and Operation Firestorm, in upcoming Labs sessions.
  • Rush’s default player counts are being lowered to restore a more tactical flow, with player numbers varying by map and mode design, and Portal enabling searches for larger Rush matches.
  • EA reported 420 million matches and 92 million hours played in the open beta, with class picks led by Assault at 32% (Support 26%, Engineer 23%, Recon 19%), as community reaction divides over movement changes and a lead designer calls the adjustments localized rather than drastic.
