Overview

• The preload for Battlefield 6’s beta build opened on August 4 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to download the test client before servers go live
• Early-access play begins on August 7 for preorder customers and Battlefield Labs participants, with open beta weekends running August 9–10 and August 14–17 for all players
• Developers across four Battlefield Studios teams are using insights from Battlefield Labs and the beta to finalize server stability, gameplay balance and new systems ahead of the October 10 release
• A console-preferred crossplay system will match controller players together first and only introduce keyboard-and-mouse users when necessary to maintain shorter queues and fairer combat
• The full game will launch on October 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S following the beta refinement
