Overview

  • The first open beta begins on August 9 with a second session later in the month, inviting players on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S to test multiplayer.
  • DICE’s portal-based server system highlights community-run experiences with full XP rewards and offers robust filter and search options.
  • Site tests show consoles will run at 60 FPS in fidelity mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, up to 90 FPS in performance mode and as high as 120 FPS on PS5 Pro.
  • Crossplay will initially match controller users together before introducing mouse-and-keyboard players, and matchmaking will factor in ping, location, server availability and player skill.
  • Core technical targets and gameplay systems—including the four-class framework, Tactical Destruction and the Kinesthetic Combat System—have been locked in ahead of the October 10 release.
