Battlefield 2042 Launches Mass Effect Crossover With New Conquest Ascension Mode

Overview

  • Update 8.9.0 went live on June 17 and introduced a Mass Effect–themed event running through July 1.
  • Players can purchase Galactic and Scoped & Dropped bundles for 1,750 and 2,000 BFC or acquire all cosmetics in the 3,000 BFC Citadel bundle.
  • Three additional cosmetics including a legendary M8 Avenger weapon skin are earnable through event progression.
  • The new Conquest Ascension mode adds Ascension tactics with crawl mechanics and squad spectating inspired by Mass Effect.
  • Update 8.9.0 also delivers multiple weapon balance changes, a new Underloaded Magazine attachment and several bug fixes.
