Overview

  • EA and DICE deployed Update 9.2.0 to Battlefield 2042 on August 18, activating the free Road to Battlefield 6 Battle Pass through October 7.
  • The 60-tier pass offers more than 50 legacy-themed Battlefield 2042 cosmetics alongside over 20 exclusive Battlefield 6 items unlockable at tiers 8, 19, 30, 40, 49 and 60.
  • Players who participated in the Battlefield 6 open beta receive the Lynx sniper rifle immediately in 2042, while others can unlock it by progressing through the pass.
  • Update 9.2.0 revives the fan-favorite Iwo Jima map and adds the KFS2000 assault rifle as well as the A-10 Warthog and SU-25TM Frogfoot jets.
  • A suite of technical and balance fixes accompanies the new content, reflecting ongoing live-service maintenance as EA builds momentum toward the October 10 Battlefield 6 launch.
