Bath County Woman, 77, Dies After Rooster Run Road House Fire
The victim was identified as Josephine Patton of Bethel.
Overview
- Troopers were alerted around 6:30 a.m. Friday to a structure fire on Rooster Run Road in Bath County.
- Kentucky State Police, the Bath County Sheriff’s Department, Bethel Fire Department and Bath County EMS responded to the scene.
- Fire crews located Patton inside the home and transported her to Saint Joseph Hospital in Mount Sterling.
- She died from her injuries at the hospital and was pronounced dead by Montgomery County Coroner Jimmy Adams.
- Investigators have not released a cause of the fire, and the case remains open.
