Baseball pitching guru Wes Johnson to take over as Georgia head coach

The University of Georgia will hire Wes Johnson, a longtime college and pro pitching coach with experience in the SEC, as their next head baseball coach.
Johnson has spent over 20 years as a pitching coach at various schools, including LSU, Mississippi State and Arkansas.
He most recently worked as the pitching coach for the Minnesota Twins.
Johnson’s ability to develop pitchers and build pitching depth made him an attractive candidate for the Georgia job.
Johnson will finish the season with LSU before taking over at Georgia.
